English for Academic Purposes
The goal of the English for Academic Purposes educational program is to develop students' communicative competence, enabling them to use the means of the language under study in all types of speech activities to realize various communicative intentions. The study of foreign languages is a necessary and integral part of the professional training of students, who must achieve a level of foreign language proficiency that allows them to conduct professional activities in a foreign language environment.
Objectives of the educational program:
- Receptive and productive mastery of lexical units that are used in various spheres of professional and everyday communication
- Receptive and productive acquisition of the grammatical minimum necessary for successful realization of communicative intentions
- Development of skills in listening and understanding speech in a foreign language under study
- Development of the ability to read texts of different types with different purposes
- Development of skills of productive oral speech in a foreign language
- The development of skills of written productive speech in a foreign language
As a result of studying the discipline, students will
know:
- English vocabulary and grammatical structures in the volume necessary for adequate communication in various communication situations, both receptive and productive
- acceptable norms of speech and non-speech behavior in intercultural dialogues in a language learned
- the structure of the text as a product of speech activity
- specifics of oral and written forms of communication in the sphere of professional communication
be able to:
- communicate on the basis of the suggested samples using the text material in both content and linguistic aspects
- converse freely in a variety of situations, realizing his or her speech intentions
- understand a text listened to, extract from it the necessary information, take into account speech intention
- understand a printed text, using a variety of reading strategies and tactics
- create a written text by following written language rules
- use phonetic skills in speech production and reading aloud
- use the rules of adequate lexical and grammatical formulation of the statement in oral and written productive communication in a foreign language in various communication situations
Introduction to Philosophy for Masters Students
The study of the subject in the proposed educational program will make it possible to make the professional training of students mastering the competencies of scientific and pedagogical and research work more successful.
Accordingly, the objective of the educational program "Introduction to Philosophy for Masters" is to develop students' skills of critical reflection, the ability to think conceptually, based on the study of philosophical ideas in a historical context, as well as in modern conditions. A distinctive feature of the course is its focus on the problems and content features of modern socio-philosophical and philosophical-methodological thought, on the study of the most significant and relevant ideas and concepts developed by the post-non-classical science, philosophy, ethics of science.
Objectives of the educational program:
- To show the history of the emergence and development of the conceptual and ideological-conceptual apparatus of philosophy, as well as the methodology of science in modern socio-humanitarian knowledge, to reveal the specificity of problems developed by this branch of knowledge, to form in master students stable skills of reflexive culture of thinking and ideas about the possibilities of modern sociophilosophical knowledge, as well as scientific cognition and methodological consciousness
- To form an idea of the principles, methods and rules of modern scientific research
