Mathematics Courses for Preparation for the Centralized Testing (CT) and Centralized Exam (CE) (10th Grade)
-
From 500.00 руб.
Purpose and Objectives:
- Expanding and deepening the knowledge of 10th-grade students in mathematics through studying topics from the school mathematics curriculum of grades 5–10 at an advanced level
- Developing logical thinking
- Cultivating students’ ability to solve a given problem in several ways and to find the simplest and most authentic among them (flexibility of thinking)
- Fostering creative abilities and research skills
- Developing the ability to apply acquired knowledge when solving both standard and non-standard mathematical problems
- Intellectual development and formation of personal qualities necessary for a full life in modern society, characteristic of mathematical activity: clarity and precision of thought, critical thinking, intuition, logical reasoning, spatial imagination, and the ability to overcome difficulties
- Development of students’ ability to dynamically represent various mathematical objects in necessary combinations and relationships (spatial imagination)
- Development of students’ ability to perceive the final solution of a problem, where the conclusion is based on intuition, a feeling, or an almost sudden insight (mathematical intuition)
When selecting and structuring the content of the program, the following didactic principles form the basis:
- Scientific approach, according to which the material presented in the curriculum must correspond to modern scientific concepts. During the learning process, students should become acquainted with some methods and techniques of scientific research (observation, description, experiment, etc.). The teacher, relying on the students’ personal experience, elevates it to a higher level
- Continuity and perspectiveness, according to which teaching is built using students’ prior knowledge and skills with consideration of future learning (preparing them to perceive more complex material). It also ensures the interconnection of each component of the educational system in content, organizational, and activity aspects
- Practical orientation, which focuses on preparing students to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in real life
- Creative learning, which involves engaging students in independent creative activities and developing the creative qualities of their personality
- Psychological comfort, according to which it is necessary to take into account the interests, needs, aptitudes, and abilities of each student, creating comfortable conditions for everyone
As a result of studying the course, participants should:
Know:
- The main types
- The requirements for their solutions, the basic techniques used in problem-solving, and the methods of solving mathematical problems
Be able to:
- Solve problems of various topics
- Choose the most rational methods for solving problems and justify their choice, provide theoretical justification for problem solutions, present solutions at a sufficiently high scientific level, and work independently with additional information sources on the studied topics
