Practical Seminar "The EMDR Method in Working with Psychotraumatic Events"

Goal: to develop a systematic understanding of the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) method as a modern, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approach to trauma, introducing the standard protocol and cultivating practical application skills for clinical consultation.

Key Objectives:

• To outline the historical development, fundamental principles, and current standing of EMDR within evidence-based psychotherapy for trauma-related disorders
• To introduce the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model and its therapeutic application in processing psychotraumatic events
• To teach stabilization and self-help techniques designed for rapid reduction of acute emotional distress
• To practice the standard EMDR protocol (via live demonstrations and supervised mini-groups) to address isolated traumatic memories

Hour Breakdown: 26 hours total (16 hours of direct training, 10 hours of curriculum and methodological support)
