Practice-Oriented Modular Educational Seminar "Psychologist to Teacher: Modern Strategies for Safety, Development, and Interaction in the Educational Environment"

The modern educator carries out professional activities under conditions of high uncertainty, an inclusive diversity of the student body, and an increasing information and emotional workload. According to monitoring data (HSE University, 2023–2025), more than 65% of secondary school teachers report symptoms of emotional exhaustion of varying degrees. At the same time, every second teacher faces difficulties in regulating the behavior of students with special educational needs in mainstream schools, and every third encounters situations requiring crisis response (bullying, self-harm, signs of family dysfunction).

The paradox of the situation lies in the fact that basic pedagogical education often does not provide practical tools for:

• Timely identification of latent psychological threats (suicidal markers, domestic violence, neuropsychological predictors of learning difficulties)
• Ecological management of one's own psycho-emotional resources under multitasking conditions
• Establishing a constructive dialogue with parents, especially in situations of hidden or overt conflict

Goal: to develop a proactive professional stance in educators based on the conscious management of their own resources, and to build competencies for preventive response to difficult situations of learning, development, and interaction in modern schools

Objectives:

1. To develop skills in professional self-reflection and the design of an individual development trajectory that ensures resilience against stagnation and emotional exhaustion
2. To master technologies of self-diagnosis, rapid recovery, and prevention of emotional burnout in daily pedagogical practice
3. To update knowledge on age norms and developmental crises to build a motivating educational environment and to differentiate typical behavior from deviation
4. To develop skills in differentiating pedagogical neglect from clinical and neuropsychological forms of learning and behavioral disorders, and to master corrective interaction tools
5. To practice safe and psychologically literate response protocols for crisis situations: bullying, detecting signs of domestic violence, self-harm, and suicidal behavior in students
6. To develop communication competencies for constructive dialogue with parents, including conflict de-escalation techniques and family engagement strategies
7. To ensure the integration of acquired knowledge and skills into a cohesive, individual model of psychologically safe and developmental teaching behavior

Term of service provision: from May 2026

Number of hours: 90 hours of direct services, 40 hours of methodological work

Minimum group size: 6 people

Cost:

60 BYN per participant (for participation in 1 module)

25 USD per participant (for participation in 1 module) – for foreign citizens
